#1 Master the timetabling principles
For all timetablers, understanding the timetabling principles is key to making the right decisions and negotiating the best solutions.
The course workshops have been created by experienced HE timetablers who continue to work within the sector today.
Our facilitators guide each learner through the timetabling principles using collaborative activities. This method enables each learner to uncover the timetabling principles for themselves
All live workshops are recorded and supported by written guidance and along with fun quizzes, homework and presentation sessions, all students engage with a variety of learning solutions. We offer each a learner a complete learning experience, that will enable them to develop a detailed understanding of the key timetabling principles.

#2 Understand own ways of working
For new starters, learning how their new institution timetables is bewildering, especially if they are new to the HE world.
Our facilitators understand this and will guide the learners through each topic. The self-led tasks that each learner completes between workshops focus on helping each learner to investigate their own institution's timetabling processes, relationships and deadlines.
A great example of this, is the "Timetabling Cycle' homework task where each learner will be asked to map out their own institution's timetabling cycle using our Mural timetabling cycle template. They present this back to the group and field questions from other learners and the facilitator.
This type of active learning approach supercharges the learning process, enabling each learner to quickly gain a detailed knowledge on their own institution's ways of working.
