Getting started

How do I join a course?

The first step is to book a chat with us. We can answer any questions and help you choose the right course. Once you know which course you’d like to join and we’ve discussed payment, we’ll send you a link to set up your account so you can access the course, calls and materials.

How do I pay for a course?

You can pay by invoice or by card. Let us know how your university would prefer to pay and we will either give you details to raise a purchase order or send you a link to pay by card.

I’m not sure which course is right for me, how can I find out more?

Book a chat – we can tell you more about a specific course, talk you through the different options and even give you a behind-the-scenes tour of any you’re interested in.

Do you offer discounts?

We do! Join more than one course, or book more than one space on a course, and we'll take 10% off your total bill.

We also have a refer a friend scheme. Recommend any of our courses to a fellow timetabler or space manager and you’ll both get £100 off your next course. Just ask them to mention your name and email address when they book.

Do you do bespoke training?

Absolutely – we know there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach to timetabling and space management, and while our courses cover lots of bases, sometimes you need extra support, more team members or training that’s little more tailored. Book a chat and we can talk through the best way to get you where you need to be.

What happens if I pay for a course and then change my mind?

Don’t worry, it happens. Let us know as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to find a solution. Our terms for refunds are:

Up to 14 working days after you’ve paid or issued a PO: Let us know and we can cancel your place and refund you in full.

Up to 14 working days before the course starts: if you are able to find someone to take your place on the course (who complies with the learning contract) then we can issue you a full refund.

Less than 24 hours before the course starts: unfortunately we cannot issue a refund.

If you can no longer make the course dates: we can move you to the following cohort of the same course. We can only do this once and you’ll need to give us at least 28 working days notice.

During the course

Do I need to use specific software on your courses?

No – we know timetablers and space managers use a wide range of software applications which is why everything we teach is universal, and can be applied to any system you’re using.

How do I join a course workshop?

All our courses are hosted on Learnworlds – a secure, cloud-based platform, accessed using your normal web browser. Once you sign up, we’ll email you all the details you need to join each workshop on the course.

How are the live workshops run?

All our course workshops are run in small groups and are highly interactive. The majority of the time you’ll be ‘live learning’ – using interactive tools under the guidance of your course facilitator. You’ll also get lots of time for discussion and sharing ideas.

We ask everyone to join the workshops in a quiet space and to keep their camera and microphone on for the majority of the time. We’ve done A LOT of training and this is what we find works best to make sure you get the most out of the course.

Do I have to attend all the live workshops on a course?

Yes please. We do record the sessions so you can refer back to them and just in case you have to miss one unexpectedly. But we do ask that you don’t book onto a cohort if you can’t make all of the dates.

Will I have any homework?

Most of our courses will have assessments or assignments that need some work outside of the sessions. The individual course page will tell you what to expect. If you do, we will send you calendar invites to block out the time to do your assignments so the time is set aside.

What happens if I’m not satisfied with my course?

We work hard to give everyone the best possible learning experiences, but if you are unhappy with any aspect of your course please get in touch so that we can try to resolve the issue for you.

How long do I have access to the course materials?

For our pre-recorded courses you get access for 12 months. For our live courses, you get access via our learning platform for 12 months. After that you are welcome to download and keep your course materials forever.
