Management of Floorspace in Further Education Colleges still relies on the Planned Average Attendance on college sites is calculated by aggregating students' Guided Learning Hours - the hours delivered over 1 year on site during daytime sessions). This figure should be divided by the total numbers of hours available for delivery (usually assumed to be 1440 hours or 8 hours daily x 5 days a week x 36 weeks).
